GearSafe is in development and has not launched publicly. This page describes how this website works today and the commitments GearSafe is built around. We will publish a complete app privacy policy before GearSafe is available to the public, and we will update this page whenever our practices change.

About this page

This page covers GearSafe and yourgearsafe.com ("GearSafe", "we", "us"). You can reach us about anything on this page at support@yourgearsafe.com.

This website

No cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers. This site doesn't set cookies or load third-party scripts, fonts, or tracking pixels.
Server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly keep standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) to deliver and secure the site. We don't use these logs to identify or profile visitors.
Email. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply and to follow up on your request.

The GearSafe app: what we're committed to

Your inventory is private to your account. The items, photos, receipts, documents, values, and locations you record are visible only to you, unless you choose to share something.
Serial numbers are treated as sensitive. They're displayed masked and are never shared with other users, partners, or our gear catalog.
Catalog contributions are opt-in and off by default. If you choose to help improve the gear catalog, we share only product facts such as brand, model, category, and barcode. We never share serial numbers, photos, purchase prices, values, locations, notes, or anything that identifies you. You can turn this off at any time.
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use your data for advertising.
We use service providers only to run GearSafe, such as secure hosting and database providers, under confidentiality and security obligations.
You're in control. You'll be able to export your records and delete your account and its data.

Children

GearSafe isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
